N6NA Repeater

N6NA Repeater Details

The River City ARCS operates a 2 meter repeater on 145.250 MHz with a negative offset. The PL (CTCSS) tone is 162.2 Hz and is turned on at all times.

The repeater transmitter is located east of Sacramento in the foothills near Shingle Springs at about 2000 feet. The system is designed to provide coverage to the greater Sacramento area including Woodland, Davis and Elk Grove. The coverage will vary depending on your radio and antenna.

The N6NA repeater transmitter coverage map shows estimated field strengths to an isotropic antenna 10 feet above ground based on the N6NA repeater 50 watt transmitter power, 2000' antenna elevation and terrain topography.

The system has several receivers located around the Sacramento area to allow weak signals such as from handheld radios to be received. The receivers are connected to a "voter" which selects the best signal and sends it to the repeater transmitter.
